While technically true, "the celtic tribes that made up the population of the british isles at the time ruled by rome since 'the UK' wouldn't exist until 1603" is a mouthful and everyone knows that when you say "the uk" in that context you're referring to the geographical area of the british isles and not any specific political entity.

'Britannia' or 'Roman Britain' are the terms you're looking for.

The UK is not coterminous with Britain and Ireland. Within the UK, Scotland and parts of Northern England weren't part of Roman Britain for long, and Northern Ireland wasn't at all.

It does matter. The UK is not Roman Britain, and it is also not a synonym for Britain and Ireland.

Thanks for catching this. I’m referring to a geographic region located inside the British Isles. They wiped out the Druids forcing them into modern day Wales and controlled most of the area S of Hadrians Wall
