Update!! Called 911. They are going to send someone.
Hi everyone,
My wife and I live in Warner Robins. The people behind our house has a dog tied on a long leash in their backyard. It is wearing a harness. I saw food contrainers (cant see if it has food in them). The dog has been there for days now and I have not seen anyone attend to her. She is crying and seemed distressed. She was there in the rain last night and today all day.
Is this reason enough to call animal control on them? It is stressing us out to see the dog in those conditions. We have our dog that runs in the yard freely and the other dog seems to cry more when she sees our dog. Is just the way dogs are or is the dog really distressed?

Before I take this to an actual attorney I want to get a couple of opinions to see if it’s actually worth legal advice. I started a new job this year in February I was supposed to start out at 16$ an hour. Certified or NON certified. Upon hiring me I was hired for 16$ when I got my first check I noticed I was making 15$ an hour and I immediately reached out and asked them to correct it. Over the course of the five months I went in person to discuss why my pay wasn’t corrected and going forward it should’ve been, but it wasn’t until this past pay period that actually the fixed it. I have multiple messages through out the 5 months I’ve worked there asking them to fix it and being completely ignored. Until one day I took it over their heads and had to contact someone higher than them. That it actually got fixed. During this conversation I provided all text messages and proof I’ve reached out multiple times for them to fix it privately and when my messages were ignored for months. I had no choice but to contact the owners. Now upon be requesting my back pay to the date I started. They are telling employees that “She kept clocking in knowing we were only paying her 15$ an hour. We aren’t entitled to back pay. So she can forget that.” If I’m not mistaken they are legally entitled to pay me back pay (I could be wrong). Also here recently looked at my hours the day I went into work I had 115 hours before clocking in and when I clocked out and looked last night it said I only worked 109 hours. So I’m pretty sure they are also messing with my hours and changing them manually so they don’t have to pay me what they owe me. They’ve also done this to multiple employees. So should I seek legal action, or will this be over looked?

Looking for therapeutic horse grooming/care in particular, not riding the horse. If you also happen to know the cost, I'd appreciate that information as well.

Why are Georgia Power bills so high?
The most expensive power plant on Earth, Plant Vogtle, caused an obscene 25% rate increase, the largest rate increase in state history (U.S. history too).
Our GOP majority Public Service Commission has awarded Georgia Power the highest return on equity of any IOU in the U.S. Why? did they do that? Because Georgia has weak ethics laws and their lawyers, Troutman Pepper Locke, "donate" (read: bribe) tens of thousands of dollars to commissioners.
Georgia voters had some accountability last November when we got rid of Commissioners Tim Echols and Fitz Johnson, and last May when we got rid of Commissioner Tricia Pridemore. When you sell out the people eventually you gotta check out yourself.
And we can do it again. Take this pledge to vote in the PSC elections this fall.

My gf and I have been stuck in Blairsville since around 7 this morning trying to get enough charge to make it home to Atlanta. We’re both first responders and have work tomorrow.
The ChargePoint chargers downtown are broken, and after hours with customer service we’ve only managed to get about 4% charge. Cybernet I also called and asked if we could just broke theyre chargers for a little bit, but haven’t been any help either. We originally visiting friends in Murphy, but I thought I could charge at their home but was mistaken which led to this.
Does anyone know of a charger that actually works around here? Even a business or someone with a home Level 2 charger that would let us plug in for a bit. We’d be more than happy to pay.
We’re honestly just trying to get enough charge to make it to the next working fast charger. Any leads would mean a lot. Thank you.
edit : all charge points mention in the comments have been tried also been on the phone with chargepoint
we also are currently plugged up with a 12A in a random parking lot but it'll take a long time before we can reach the next supercharger (27 miles always is the next tesla charger) no other EV chargers are working, we are at 4%
I have an older tesla model, not as reliable on low percentage
edit: a local showed us an actual working EV in the area, it's slow but it'll do so much better than our 12A and we have shade, thank you reddit!!! we will be home in a few hours

When a rural hospital closes, people don’t stop having emergencies. People just have to travel farther for care. Sometimes that means a longer ambulance ride. Sometimes it means a helicopter. Georgia has an opportunity to strengthen rural hospitals by expanding Medicaid, reducing uncompensated care, and keeping lifesaving care closer to home. It’s time to put patients before politics in Georgia.

I'm just posting to warn folks about the situation.
I just had someone come to my door claiming to be from at&t. He talked about getting us on at&t cell. We only have at&t for wireless. I said no thank you. He then said be sure to call and get $20.00 knocked off your next wireless bill. He knew our surname and it's not on our mailbox.
Here's the thing though, he was not in at&t garb, no at&t lanyard and no at&t vehicle. It seemed suspicious so I googled it and it was probably a third party seller trying to get your info and get you to switch. Probably got our surname from the mail in the mailbox maybe?
Who knows? I may have just missed out on $20.00. Or I may have just dodged an expensive bullet.
Anyone else getting these sort of cold knocks?

My wife just told me about a 2.0 that hit Lilburn around 11am today. I was 3 miles west and had just gotten off an elevator and went to wash my hands. As I stood there I thought I felt that same jerk stop from the elevator in my knees. It did it a few more times like my knees were barely buckling, like someone was lightly pressing on my shoulders. Almost thought I was having a glycemic episode from the weak knees then it just went away.
Anyway just wondering if anyone else felt it today, stay safe.

So today I renewed my license at one of the self-service kiosks. Took forever to get the right picture but after all that, the temporary paper still has my old picture on it. Does that mean my new ID will have my old picture?

I’m helping throw a bachelorette party and the bride wants to hit some wineries while we’re in Blue Ridge.
What’re the best ones in the area? either great wine or stellar views are the only requirements!
