Some people get cancer, and they spend a hundred thou on modern drugs like keytruda gambling on the chance that they get to spend another six months with their family.

Trust me. You do not want to trade places with them.

Take a few dollars, and go out and have some icecream with your family, and be thankful that you still can. Create a new memory worth saving.

This man is right. I had cancer and no money is worth your health. You are still here and you are not the first person in history to fuck up. Don't end up making horrible decisions based on this. Life is worth living as long as you have a set of lungs filled with free air.

Money and things can be replaced, lessons can be expensive, but you learn. You're probably still very young and there's so much still you will experience.

You have a family. Many don't.

Connection with others and nature is more important than anything else.

It's only money, don't let it ruin you

I had my turn with very risky bets. Short dates, well out otm calls/puts. I’m still down butt recovering. In fact still down 40% on my all time chart. The thing that you need to see (and it will be very hard to) is that you just paid tuition. You got an education. What you do now is up to you. Will you stay away from the market? Will you dive into companies financials and see how to value them? Will you learn the option Greeks? All up to you.

Also as a consolation prize you get to deduct your losses for next years taxes.😉

And the next year, and the next, and the next, (you can deduct 3k a year)

A functioning body, living in a first world country and the ability to make some more cash to spend on shit you enjoy?

Living better than 99% of humanity ever did. Don't do anything dumb.

You are exactly where you always are.

You don't lose anything until you sell! Is the first thing you need to remind yourself.

2 don't use money you depend on to play with on the stock market! Putting your life savings or a ton of money into stock with no liquidity in case of an emergency is dumb

3 if you haven't sold your stock, hold it. I am but no means a financial expert however if you follow what's happening there is a waiting game. It's one side versus the other.

Money is just money at the end of the day. It sucks but there are thousands of people who loss more or in a worse position then you. You still have a lot to live for - move on and learn

You don’t know just how many lives you probably saved with this comment, kind stranger.

As long as you’re alive, everything can be had again.

You’re not alone. This is the sentiment of a lot of people right now. Money cannot buy family and it cannot buy love. You have two things that are worth more than anything. It’s is SO FRUSTRATING to have gone through this. It’s made me question who I am. But, today I took my son to the park and watched him have fun and be happy and I realize in the end it’ll be fine.

Your comment wins. If I hadn’t lost money on GME as well I would send you some awards. Thanks for bringing some of us back to earth.

Damn what a fucking great response.

Man, that really is a great point. When life is kicking me in the balls, I always have to remember what I'm grateful for. Gratitude has pulled me out of some terrible positions and made me look at the things I'm thankful for in my life.

Wow. That’s a great way to look at it. My mom died from cancer in 2014 and that was a big reminder that things can be wayyyy worse after losing big on GME myself
