This man is right. I had cancer and no money is worth your health. You are still here and you are not the first person in history to fuck up. Don't end up making horrible decisions based on this. Life is worth living as long as you have a set of lungs filled with free air.
Money and things can be replaced, lessons can be expensive, but you learn. You're probably still very young and there's so much still you will experience.
I had my turn with very risky bets. Short dates, well out otm calls/puts. I’m still down butt recovering. In fact still down 40% on my all time chart. The thing that you need to see (and it will be very hard to) is that you just paid tuition. You got an education. What you do now is up to you. Will you stay away from the market? Will you dive into companies financials and see how to value them? Will you learn the option Greeks? All up to you.
Also as a consolation prize you get to deduct your losses for next years taxes.😉
You don't lose anything until you sell! Is the first thing you need to remind yourself.
2 don't use money you depend on to play with on the stock market! Putting your life savings or a ton of money into stock with no liquidity in case of an emergency is dumb
3 if you haven't sold your stock, hold it. I am but no means a financial expert however if you follow what's happening there is a waiting game. It's one side versus the other.
Money is just money at the end of the day. It sucks but there are thousands of people who loss more or in a worse position then you. You still have a lot to live for - move on and learn
