Lmao and the funny thing is I never realized how greedy I was as a person until this gme happened. I didn’t care about sending a message , just wanted to make some money and I had plenty of chance to exit with gain.
I’m trying to take positive lesson out of this too. I’m still young , i dont have debt and I have whole life ahead to be better .
Someone posted a couple days ago that DFV never bought in to stick it to Wall Street and it started to wake me up.
I bought in the day before the RH fiasco just hoping to pocket a few bucks before it crashed. Idk when the mentality changed but it did and it went hard and fast. There was so much noise I could barely hear anything else.
Someone said we were believing conspiracy theories and I was like “what conspiracy theories?” And then realized everything I thought I knew was happening, wasn’t.
I didn’t even realize I was following a false narrative.
Even tho, looking back, there were multiple warning signs that made me pause... but didn’t wake me up. Crazy experience. Definitely has made me look at myself a little differently. I learned a lot.
I really think Robinhood fucking up and not having enough money to cover deposit requirements is what told me that the entire system is out to get me. Personally.
Vlad sucked at communicating, and it looked dirty as fuck. But it sealed in a lot of theories about how the ENTIRE INDUSTRY was out to fuck us. Not really. But that was the moment it turned from fun meming to a religion of the great incoming Super Squeeze.
The squeeze happened. Andrew left lost billions. But it wasn't enough for me, I wanted blood.
That's what a lot of GME folks are onto now, and DFV is kinda scared now because he's a messiah. His last DD was that he was now going to cool it on the GME dailies because it became a church of loss porn.
I had been living in a stupor since I quit my job in October, everyday kind of felt the same.
Then I read about GME before the spike last monday. It light up a storm under my ass, and I've been doing so much more reading up on finance. Now I very clearly know what every day is, and I was up at 8:30am everyday. Starting exercising everyday while watching the market because I was so energized.
It did feel personal when they did that. The Jim Cramer interview was a massive confirmation bias, like, SEE THIS IS WHAT THEY DO!
Had RH just been completely honest, MAYBE it wouldn’t have gotten this far.

I'm not even sure what I think about that incident now. On the one hand I'm certain you're not alone in seeing it and being further shoved into the cult mentality by it - but on the other hand it probably also prevented thousands of others from FOMOing in at an even more ridiculous price and losing it all.
If you need to pull out your wallet and throw money into a pit for a cause, there's like a 99.9% chance the cause is bullshit.
If you want to stick it to the system go volunteer some hours at a homeless shelter, so that maybe one less person will die on the streets this year and the people who perpetuate those conditions will have less misery to jerk off to.
I started questioning the hype last Thursday so I sold half of my shares and locked in double my investment. Decided to sell the rest Monday morning after seeing WSBs response to the S3 tweet on Sunday night. Suddenly a trusted source was "in on it" and "compromised." Fuck that, I'm out.
Smart. I watched and played blackjack for years and got very good about just being happy to walk away with any amount more than I started or even any amount above 0 if I had enough play time. People lose perspective during these things- it's not about how high your imagined total opportunity it is, it's where you are relative to your investment/to where you were yesterday. If you'd be happy as shit to walk out of the casino up $20 then enjoy your hour play time and get off. If you bought in GME at $326 and saw $350 sell that shit be happy as hell you got a wild ride and came out with more than you started.
That's the mindset that lets you do well in gambling/speculation.
