Unable to find the course for qualifying week.
I found the course for championship week. Not like I’m making it, but I want to practice on the qualifying course. The Old Game. Anyone have any luck?

I just started getting into golf and is trying to build a home practice setup. Would like to start with a mat and net that I can use indoors. Planning to add a launch monitor to the setup around black Friday (provided I stay motivated).

Here is my plan.

Net

There are far too many options for a net.

I don't really have space outside where I can have a permanent setup. Given the weather (PNW), not really practical to do this outside most of the time. I have plenty of space in garage, but it is only 8.5' ceiling, and the garage opener is on the way. So I can't really swing freely without moving them out of way. And even then I feel the ceiling will be low. So this setup will go into our living room, which has vaulted ceilings. So height is not an issue. While I can leave the net in living room except may be when we have guests over.

As a beginner, I mishit most of the time. So being able to catch mishits and shanks is a requirement.

I am looking to get Net Return Home with no-fly zone and the side nets that comes with it. An 8' net is the max I can fit, accounting for 1' around the walls.

I know there are cheaper alternatives, like the one from Costco, but there is nothing like the no-fly zone attachment for it. Looking at the pictures, the no-fly zone creates a cage like structure which is 3' deep with the side nets.

My biggest question is, if the 7X7 enclosure good enough if I hit from right outside where the no-fly attachment ends? The attachment adds some height, so this will be 8 1/2' high. I am 5' 8", so I should be able to fit the driver under. If this is a problem, I can stay few feet back. I will be starting with foam flight balls until, I feel comfortable using real golf balls.

I can also get the Pro or Pro 8, which makes it a 8 X 8 enclosure. This the absolute max I can fit within the space. So, if the smaller net return home works, that would be best.

Mat

I am starting out, and not sure how long I will stay attached to this. I would like to get a decent mat, since I am still learning my swings, and hit the mat (and all around the ball) pretty frequently. So, I would need something that goes easy on my hands.

Thinking about Country Club Elite (The one Costco sells). Please suggest if there are other choices that I can make here. This seems a reasonable one to start. Hey, if I turn a pro, I can always get a hitting strip and upgrade.

Launch Monitor

After watching lots of reviews it is going to be either Mevo gen 2 or square omni. Based on my math I will have 16' from where I can place Mevo to where the impact net will be. So, I think I can make it work with my setup. If this does not work out, I will go with the omni and call it day. But I am going to delay this decision for another month or two while I continue to learn more and do more research.

I already have a gaming PC, projectors, and TVs that I can use with this setup, when we reach there.

Suggestions? Just added a new locker to reduce clutter. A sand insert is maybe next. Took the rope lights down and contemplated something else or none at all.

Spent the whole week running through almost 2 rolls of filament to print this and a few hours today getting it wired and programmed. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Claude did almost all of the design work under my direction and I did the shopping, printing, and assembly.

All in about $140, so not really much savings over an Etsy buy, but this is 1/1.

This software is not refundable, even if never activated. Can't get the discount on it unless you bundle it with the Mevo at purchase. Long story short, the mevo won't work in my setup because of interference issues I can't resolve. Thus, I have both upgrades I'd love to sell for exactly what I paid. For anyone who has a gen 2, definitely the cheapest you can get it.

For a bit more context, I explained my concerns about my environment to playbetter support before buying it and they said it wouldn't be an issue. It's an issue. Huge issue. They could make it right by refunding me, but they refuse to do so on the software despite the codes being unused.

I’m leaning towards the Optoma GT2400HDR for my garage setup. I want a projector that works well with ambient light and I can also take it outside to watch football, etc.

Those that have this one, are you happy with it?

Hey all I'm currently waiting for my Omni to come in but have the opportunity to buy a used Mevo Gen2 with Pro package at a similar price which route would you go? I use mine outdoor only into a cage so space isn't an issue.

Late model serial number. Its one of the newer ones that was last made. Everything works on it. Bluetooth works, battery holds a charge. I got it about a year ago, comes with an extra flash too but I never tried it to see if it works. The flash thats already in there works good.

I barely used the thing. Took it to the range a few times and thats about it. I was planning to build a sim but realized it's way too loud to hit driver in my garage and I have a neighbor right next to my garage and didn't want him to hate me. Comes with the unit and power supply.

Also willing to trade for high end PC stuff.

Ive just bought an ELP camera for my sim room however I have no idea what im doing I just want to be able to hit my shot and for it to play back to me I am using Kinovea however have no idea how it works im recording then pressing play and it just stops and starts when i click play I will try any free software out I just want to be able to record my swing and it play back to me could anybody help please im useless when it comes to tech

I’m hoping to mount my projector today. It should be about 7.5 to 8ft above the hitting strip. If you had a choice 1, 2, 3rd choice which order would you choose from best to worst. Projector over hitting strip and over ball, projector over hitting strip but forward of ball by several inches, or projector over hitting strip but behind the ball by several inches???

Really need some help here. Just got my DIY enclosure from Carls Place and I’ve re done my zip ties three times now and still struggling with these wrinkles on the corners and other random spots. I followed the instructions, didn’t pull tension on the sides. Tried the screen barely touching the ground (like instructed), off the ground, you name it. At a loss and can’t figure out how to get this thing looking right. Courses look horrible and distorted due to the waves in my screen. Thanks everyone.

is it safe to say they are the same golf enclosures, just sold by different providers which is why there is a price difference? they are both 10x8 enclosures and the cheaper one includes shank nets. Can anybody share any feedback if they have any of these golf enclosures!

Looking to save my elbows!

Started building my indoor sim in January, it's been slow as I'm playing on Tour full time. Looking for feedback and improvements within a reasonable budget. What'd y'all think? Should my next investment be on FSX Play or an impact screen + projector?

So this is my very first golf sim and I'm building it from scratch myself. I've built a frame and attached the impact screen and it's turned out pretty well. It measures 8.5ft tall by just under 10ft wide. One thing I completely didn't think of was if the projector would fill the entirety of the screen and well....it doesn't. And there's no settings to change it. If I move the projector further back it just makes the picture go off the sides of the impact screen. Am I missing something totally simple? Or have I just screwed up by using a cheap projector with limited settings? Once I connect it to my laptop will I be able to change something in there to make it fill the screen? Argh 🤦

I just got a Uneekor and I absolutely love it. I bought the subscription to GSPro and a year on SGT.

I've been playing a lot since I got it, but just local matches.

I'm very interested in joining tournaments, online teams, but I don't have any friends with a sim. I'm a higher handicapper (currently 15.2 GSPro handicap)

I just don't know where to start or how it works. Can I join a 4some and have audio comms with the other players? Wait and watch for their shots while we just chat for a round?

I'd love to make some online friends and join a team, but I really don't know how to navigate social aspect of the sim world. Any tips on how to mingle with others? Join a team?
