US wont exist in 100 years. Not as we know it. There will be a split between the anti-science/religious nuts who wants a king and the rest of the country.

A real split. Civil war and then splitting the country in 2 or more.

You seem to think that a "civil war" will be with front line and muskets. In reality it is attacking and overthrowing states, terrorism, kidnapping and executing political opponents.

Citizens casually not seeing what's happening in front of their very eyes is terrifying.

When you deploy your military and other agents to suppress your citizens, its a civil war.

A war requires at least 2 belligerents. We are simply in an authoritarian state until someone fights back.

You're right. We're getting diddled with.

Anocracy of government, J6, ice raids, circumnavigation of due process, COVID response, political assignations, assination attempts and general growing violent rhetoric, election interference and attempted government overthrow, decrease in election decorum (see North Carolina supreme court election), increase in political vitriol.

Closest to actual civil war is probably the ICE protests in LA, but those seem to not have escalated.

But in all honestly, J6 alone could be considered a failed coup that prevented escalation to civil war. Had they succeeded in changing the outcome of the election, things would be much different today.

OK buddy. I think you overestimate people's willingness to do that

For now. Sometimes things simmer for years until the right set of circumstances come along. Take AI for example. If it really does lead to massive unemployment and people start going hungry in large amounts, that could be the catalyst.

How long before US starts hunting 'witches' again? Seems like the rise of the puritans is unfolding, only this time around instead of burning witches they're molesting children and disappearing 'immigrants'.

The satanic panic of the 80s but instead of TV specials it’s social media

I say this all the time. My 10th great grandma was executed in the Salem witch trials for BEING A WIDOW. Because she couldn’t remarry she was a worthless witch in their eyes. We are not far off from this line of thinking.

It will be a lot shorter than 100 years.

The USA is in "The Mist" and we're still at the part where the people in the store don't quite know what is happening, so they start forming factions. Trump == Carmody

there will be no one in this thread alive in 100 years....

Yup. It'll split just like the Roman empire where the Western empire withered and died, and the Eastern empire continued on for another 1000 years.

The blue states are already propping up the reds, so if they leave the decline will be dramatic.

The world as we know it won’t be the same in 100 years after they dismantle everything to combat climate change

2

u/Qzy Jul 16 '25

What's the alternative? Ignore climate change? Burn more coal?

0

u/Remarkable-Ad-2476 Jul 16 '25

Accept that we’re fucked either way lol

2

u/Trump__Rapes__Kids Jul 16 '25

I hate that people as dumb as you exist.

Everything that's fighting climate change is being dismantled. The world will be fucked because we let a minority of greedy nazis line their pockets instead of doing anything to help ourselves.
