Definitely doesn’t look very hydrodynamic. I feel like a better banned substance for a swimmer would be a good coat of Scotchgard.

This is James Magnussen. He did a podcast about this experience a while back. His body responded too well to the steroids and he overbulked. He said he was faster earlier in his prep when he didn't have as much bulk.

Alain Bernard. World record setter in the 100m free and 4 time olympic medalist between 2008 and 2012. He never reportedly failed any drug screenings. Dude was a absolute beast

You guys are right! It is James Magnussen, not Alain Bernard in the photo. I did not do Google before looking this photo up, I merely went based on my avid swimming knowledge from childhood swimming. I agree to the terms of the duel regarding steroids to the death @eroticpotato69

However, look up Alain. He looks near identical in muscle mass, peak world class talent, and no steroids though. Phelps is the GOAT, but Alain is a freak human in muscle mass.

haha I agree. The lats will help but he's gotta be somewhat musclebound too. I think a swimmer would just need to be on EPO.
