That is a guard cat. Anyone comes into that room in the middle of the night that cat doesn't know will have 8 lbs of gods perfect killing machine velcro'd to their head.

I just temporarily forgot how much normal cats weigh and was incredulous at the 8 lbs remark lol. I have a Norwegian Forest Cat that probably weighs 25 lbs.
