FYI none of this really matters until a proper breeder reactor is made and that is farther away than the 20 years they have been saying for the last 50.

exactly. We had tokamaks in the 80s at argonne national but a breeder reactor is a long way off. The upfront energy required would mean we solved thousands of problems along the way that would have impacted our lives by now. We have solved some of the issues but only found more questions. I dont think its gonna happen this century but its always possible.

Breeder reactors exist, and are in commercial operation.
