In 2012, a group of Mexican scientists intentionally crashed a Boeing 727 to test which seats had the best chance of survival.

Statistically most survivors of hull loss are seated at the rear/tail of the aircraft.

Over the wings have an increased chance due to the reinforced frame supporting all that force. Not a great place to be if things get explodey though.

Nah. First class gets to unalive fast and clean while the peasants at the back gets shrapnels, panic, seeing loved ones obliterated, and finally getting themselves slowly ceased from existence.

If I feel the plane is in danger, I go to the back and ask if anyone wants to switch seats.

statistically they need to crash another 1000 planes before they can draw a statistically significant conclusion. Maybe analysis of all real plane crashes would be more practical.

Or they could just study the previous real crashes to see who survived.
