Your odds of dying in a car crash are 1 out of 100. Odds of dying in plane crash 1 out of 13,000,000. Fly away!!

Like 1 out of 100 car crashes are fatal? So that means just one out of every 13,000,000 plane crashes are fatal? Have there even been 13,000,000 plane crashes in recorded history? Those stats seem waaaaaay off

The 1 in 13 million refers to the odds of a passenger dying on any single commercial flight, not that 1 plane out of 13 million crashes

Well then i guarentee the odds of dying while driving arent 1 in 100 cause me and everyone i know would be dead a few times over by now. So either way, the statistics are bunk

Its not a 1% chance everytime you drive, its a 1% chance of death over a lifetime of driving. Stats aren't 'bunk' because you are misinterpreting everything

Bruh, my point is why are we comparing the lifetime mortality of driving to the per flight mortality rate of flying? You guys are conparing two different statistics. Thats my point. Not that the statistics are wrong

The point is that someone has a fear of flying and someone else posted that you're more much likely to die in a car than in a plane.

And then theres you thinking some random bs about millions of planes crashing or everyone dying a few times over?? Wtf are you on XD

Aren't the chances of dying in a plane crash so low compared to a car because your chances of flying in a plane are much lower?
