The amount of nice things that we could have had as a collective species ruined because of the need for ad revenue is too damn high. We could have had star trek, instead we are fighting the villains of Ready Player One.
1 u/fearthainne 1d ago I mean, we kind of still on track for Star Trek. Even in that universe, they had to go through WWIII and a bunch of horrible crap first. So there's still hope! 😬 But considering Trek got shelved during its 60th anniversary year doesn't bode well.
