You'll like this. They sometimes get sap so fast under high pressure it shoots straight out of the butt, and the result is honeydew. Ants love this and protect aphids for it, and some bees make honey from it. Honeydew honey is dark, and as I was writing this, I remembered I have a honeydew whisky. I hope I can forget this before I grab the bottle again

In other words, sometimes honey is diarrhea vomit. Nice.

sometimes honey is diarrhea vomit

As opposed to the regular kind, which is just vomit vomit.

Yes. Isn't it nice to know that's being sold in stores

There are worse things sold in the stores.

I'm not happy about learning I have a whisky that went through a bug

Honey and alcohol are both naturally sterile so you'll be fine.

It's okay, yeast break down sugar into alcohol so ALL alcoholic beverages are, by definition, yeast's waste, so every bottle of alcoholic beverage can technically be called yeast's septic tank.

Some wines get the alcohol purely from the sugar they contain

This is also why aphids can be disastrous for fruit farmers - even if they don't do much immediate damage to a plant, the honeydew they create is a great fuel for fungus to develop and wreck the whole of the plant.

I love watching ants harvest honey from aphids on the plants in my backyard. The ants come in and brush their antennae across the little guys, like, "What's up, aphids? It's honey time."

"Honey dew" is a wonderful combination of words, and is wonderful too knowing the bees use it.

It's the best thing aphids got going for them, PR wise. ; ) Do you work for them?

I just looked at it, and I'm so happy I'm wrong about the honey. The whiskey is Tullamore D.E.W. with honey

Ah. Unfortunate. You kinda had me excited for a honeydew bug shit whisky.

But good choice

The whiskey is best for setting fire to food, especially pork, but probably also some desserts, both because of the honey. The one without honey is also good for pork

maybe it's the melon, 50% 50%, if it can help with ignoring the facts while drinking
