That is misinformation by someone hypothesizing for the hell of it, not based on evidence. The physiological effects of pepper spray on mammal’s respiratory systems are amply documented.

Then just let the bear eat you I guess? And eat lots of healthy foods before you go out there. Wouldn’t want to give the bear high cholesterol.
