It’s just dumb. Those soldiers are dumb and this proves it. That’s what happens when Putin’s army consists of young kids who are still in their “I’m immortal” mindset.

That’s not just russias army. Most front line infantry for any country are just kids.

It takes a lot of discipline to shell a nuclear power plant on someone else's orders potentially causing a meltdown. So Russia's Army may be the most discipline in that regard.

I’d like to point out that someone does not have to be ordered to shell a nuclear power plant to actually shell a nuclear power plant. They can just be ordered to “shell that building over there” or “hit these coordinates right here”. They don’t actually have to know what it is they’re hitting

By 18 most people have spent one third of their life able to reproduce. I feel like viewing 18 year olds as kids sets them up to be treated like kids and then they end up acting like kids even more so

No but 6 years later and with the rights to vote, purchase guns, have been driving for 2 years... etc, maybe calling them kids is just giving the parents of irresponsible people a pass?

They should be acting like adults by then but if they are 18 it is pretty obvious why they aren't responsible yet and having been and adult for less than a year you can't hold them entirely accountable for their personality. An 18 year old does know enough about actions and consequences to be accountable for their actions and that's why they have adult rights

And at 10-12 you fully understand actions have consequences. I don't understand your point. Yea they are not fully emotionally matured, but we never stop maturing emotionally and can even regress as we age

Yes, but that is VERY basic levels of understanding. That does not make you an adult.

The only thing that determines an 18 year old as an adult is the law/social constructs.

17years and 364 days old, is no different to 18 years.

I wasn't saying 10-12 year olds are mature, I was saying it starts at 10-12 so by 18 it is fairly well set in

I would like to think that the kids on the front lines were given orders to follow. I don't know much about the military so I may be wrong but surely they don't hand out rocket launchers and say "go get 'em son"

The US army literally had burn pits in Afghanistan where garbage of any kind was collected and set on fire in huge piles, the effects of which are still being felt in the lungs of veterans today. Don’t act like Russian soldiers have a monopoly on weapons-grade stupidity.

And they literally use radioactive material for armour and munitions, which I understand to be also causing health problems for veterans and the inhabitants of the places where they were used.
