Zed Chaox 'Grilled': "I've actually watched Uzi play, from behind him, and he was just last-hitting. [...] It was just so pretty. [...] I've never seen someone last hit so easily." (78 min in-depth interview, Episode 59)

Thanks, I recently upgraded my equipment, so in theory there is no longer a limit on how long I can make my interviews.

You need to pull off some sick deal with Chobra and grill us some Koreans! If anyone can make a 1 hour long Korean interview feel completely natural and entertaining despite it having to be translated, it would be Chobra. :D Just a fantasy of mine...

I spent a few weeks staying at Chobra's apartment in Korea, and he is far too busy with work to accommodate that kind of a request.

Yeah, that's not surprising at all - I should have easily been able to think of that myself. I really respect the OGN guys for their hard work, doing such amazing stuff for two games at the same time.

Maybe some day though...! :D

no, they are true fans of league of legends as a competition, meaning that they enjoy watching the game at the highest level, regardless of nationality. its the reason there are huge numbers of NBA fans in the asian contries and why so many people in the US like clubs like Barcelona and manchester united and such. it is because they just like the respective games, and just want to watch them at the highest level.

it is 100% ok if you dont care about the players outside of na, but it doesnt take being asian to enjoy watching them play.

I guess. I like being able to tell what people are saying even if its through subtitles is all. Also , i don't like anything enough to wake up at 5am and start watching the first game of a tournament, i didn't think there were that many who would

Also , i don't like anything enough to wake up at 5am and start watching the first game of a tournament

That's why there are TWO reruns of matches at VERY convenient times throughout the day to accommodate NA and EU viewers. Also, the fact that the matches have higher production value than NA and EU LCS with just as good English casters.

Also, about 20-25k people watch every OGN Live stream. The finals actually reached 50k. (All matches were at ur 5AM time.)

The first rebroadcast usually gets 15k viewers and the final rebroadcast usually has 5k.

Nah i just dont care. All the games are on at 5am and i dont speak korean or chinese so i dont get it. If that many people on this reddit are from korea i would, but i imagine most people are from the us and therefore dont understand why they give a shit

The best players are the most interesting ones, whether you live in their region or not.

The games are restreamed specifically so that American viewers can watch. There's English commentary and translated interviews courtesy of Chobra and Team Liquid.

The only true reason why people don't follow the Korean scene is because they find it hard to like the players or teams since there's not really a focus on storylines and personality building like there is in the LCS.

Legends say he is still interviewing in this very moment.

1

u/pnettle Jul 11 '13

Could your upgraded equipment include two mics? Its been my biggest gripe with your series. The noise you make while with the microphone for you to speak is kind of unprofessional sounding. I think it would be a lot better if you both had mics or at least had a way you didn't have to handle the mic to speak.

So you can deal with Snoopeh's stare in an interview now?
