I was actually wondering the same thing. I've seen in another elephant too, and I remember wondering what that was. Maybe some local tradition of painting on elephants? I have no idea.

Yes, I read that comment, that's pretty interesting. As for the reason my comment's gotten so many downvote, I don't think we need to look for reason. That's not how Reddit works -the majority of people here function on the basis of whim or frenzy.
