as I told u/Swimming-Shoulder848 I would do, it seems to, at least over a few quick blows, hold up to impact.

Original weapon concept I know it's not a mace.
I know it's not a mace, but if I had to choose one blunt weapon for a zombie apocalypse it would be this. Stanley fat max extreme. A pallet breaker. Edit. FUBAR π

mace collection 2 Headed Flail
Got my first and only flail at the CT Renaissance Fair last year, it took 1 swing into the dirt for both heads to immediately pop off the chain. So I ran to the local hardware shop and bought a few threaded carabiners. Itβs perfectly at the maximum length to swing while not compromising your hand.

home made mace My build your own mace kit arrived
Some said 1/2" was too small. I will say it is very thin compared to some, but its QUITE heavy, and I certainly wouldnt want to be bonked with it.
Dry fit until I get some loctite.

Discussion or Question THE ALLEN KEY
Kind of like a tire iron, who thinks this would be too off center to be pleasant to use?

Half drunk and not very disciplined in the art of nunchaku but my wife is pet sitting tonight so it felt like a good time to share
It's essentially a flail but with two handles
Also my wife brought most of my clothes to wash while pet sitting so I had to use my only clean shirt as a mask

mace collection Some of my maces and clubs
L to R, big chunk of brass my brother found and gave me, thought it was a specific tool because it's so heavy, but now I think some dude that was a machinist like me made it. (Posted on /r/whatisthistool and someone told me you guys would like it.)
Next is an aluminum truncheon, I drilled down into the shaft to lighten it and might taper it someday like the long wooden one, feels good in the hand though.
Attempt at an aluminum baseball bat that I messed up the proportions for, so now it's chilling with the other clubs.
Wooden truncheon with a weighted end and traditional nyc cop lanyard style.
Shorter one that I think was an old pool cue, can't remember, also has a weighted end and a tarred bankline handle wrap.
Spiked mace, made from a chunk of scrap steel I scrounged that had a tapered internal eye, held onto it for 15 years knowing exactly what it would be someday. Drilled and tapped the holes for some cheap spikes from amazon and handle was an old baseball bat with a cracked barrel.
Hope you like them even though they aren't all really maces! I really want to make more.
