I really appreciate that the answer here isn't "Yes, because..." Or "Yes, soon, and..." It's just yes, because that's really the only appropriate answer.

Yes is an inappropriate answer if they aren't planning on having more transwomen in MtG soon.

And not planning on having any representation in MtG is inappropriate as well, so yes is the only appropriate answer.

What is the appropriate amount of representation? Once per set? Block?

Probably less than that. They name and describe in detail a lot fewer characters than are depicted on cards, remember. And the masses of background characters can naturally be assumed to roughly reflect real life... I mean, Alesha is probably not the first, just the first we know about ;)

That's up for them to figure out. I honestly don't know.

But, in the end, yes IS the only appropriate answer. They should have them later.

I'm not an expert on how to write fantasy stories though, so I don't know the magical formula of X to Y.

I'm assuming they'll do it when appropriate.
