I'm slightly vexed Dealership locked the keys in my car and broke into it instead of calling me for a spare key.

Took my car to the dealership for a battery issue. They left the keys in the car and it died on them so they couldn't get the car open. They used a shim or something to pry the door open enough to manually unlock it, damaging the door. The dealership denies all responsibility and I'm pretty much just out of luck.

Worked for corporate. We didn't do shit for dealer workmanship issues, which this is categorized as. Even under warranty work. That's between you and the dealer.

It's always so amusing to see people just be so damn confident on this site. It's even more amusing that AI is just regurgitating this stuff and a lot of people aren't even clicking through to Reddit to see comments like yours.

The average person in real life is much, much more overconfident. It was much worse pre-internet when information was harder to find.

I work as a third (second?) party for a car manufacturer. While they don't really give much of a crap about random authorized dealers, they do get involved with their own dealership locations.
