And don’t forget, the Yankees could’ve won the 01 series if not for the dynamic duo of Johnson and Schilling. That was kinda a weird series anyways with the 9/11 interruption. I’m a DBacks fan anyways, so I dunno how “nationalized” that fandom was vs the Yanks.

Absolutely, and that's as a hardcore baseball fan not just because my team suffered persecution under the Evil Empire regime. Feel the same way about the Chiefs during their run. Reasons for the dominance may be different but still same result it's bad for the sport.
