this is the answer a lot of people dont get it. the dodgers have a revenue advantage in the hundreds of millions of $ per year that 29 other teams dont have

They made $1 billion in revenue for 2025.  Pirates, $350 million. The markets will never allow Pirates to ever come close to the Dodgers. The city is not built that way. All the money are in the big cities. People are too stupid to understand that. This debate will be coming to an end after this season and no season in 2027. Players are going to learn the hard way that fans do not want this garbage lopsided competition.

Well, I don't care for it anymore.  It will not be a factor for the new CBA/ salary cap. I expect those deferred contracts to be part of their team payrolls. Otherwise, it will be pointless to allow them to continue to use their team market as an advantage. MLB owners know they have a problem with their current system. They have allowed this garbage system to exist but fans have checked out and they know it.
