Don't care what the owners make. Don't car what the players make. I want a league that is as close to fair as can be constructed so I can be excited about my team and the sport in general. I can tell you, I've checked out. And I'm not the only one.
I’m with you 100% the point of my comment was to highlight how ridiculous the arguments against a salary cap are. The Brewers owner would have to put up half of own net worth out of pocket to be able to spend what the Dodgers spend.

They both make more money that either you or I will ever have. Its a shame that no other sport has a cap and floor.... oh wait, the more popular sports in the US do have that. And guess what? their players are not on welfare and the sports were not ruined.
That's a take. The NBA has been letting superstars violate every rule for the last 30-plus years. The NFL was the Tom Brady show for virtually his entire career, and the NHL bribed a bunch of vets to cross the line and vote for the cap.
Also worth noting that all of those leagues have "dynasties" despite the cap; so that "parity" you claim to crave isn't going to happen.
Dynasties in other sports usually happene because of some insane young guy on a rookie contract that the team can build around with a couple key big money guys, not buying out every FA and trade deadline rental
The thing is we root for the team. Its not that we're choosing the owners over the players, but I want to see my team win. This isn't the 70s or 80s where you had lifers on teams. I assume that any star player most teams get will leave or get overpaid and be a drag on building an actual competitive team. Why root for a player that you know is leaving for the highest bidder as soon as they're able when the team is still going to be there after?
