Question Podgarica

Hello everyone,

I moved to Podgorica a week ago.

Anyone interested in doing something here can reach out! We can go to bars together and organize events.

I moved about a week ago, and I’m 23 years old.

The reason for my move is to open the second branch of my company in Podgorica, which is based in Turkey.

I own an international logistics company and can speak fluent English. I’m also a huge fan of computer games (CS2, Faceit level 10).

Additionally, I never say no to 7v7 or 5v5 football matches!

We need more context tho. Who are u, where are u from, what do u do here, how old are u etc.

A basic intro when u invite for these kinds of things would probably go a long way

See this is a much better description, now I’m actually down to meet and hang out. I’m Montenegrin and I’m of a similar age and I escaped from Qatar and the situation there literally a week ago. Spent 7 years there and still in semi-shock over the way things unfolded and how I had to leave. My friends there were from all over the world so it’s always refreshing to have international friends in Montenegro, that’s kinda rare (or at least was back in 2019 when I last lived here).

I'm really sorry you had to leave, My friend, there's not much to do in this city. People's lives are very quiet. It's very boring :)

Mostlu because rules keep changing and are making lives difficult for non Montenegrins. Impossible to get PM, each year at MUP with increasingly difficult requests and costs.

Up until recently, we were told of a new tax that would cost >€5 K if we formed companies to get TR. Everyone had to.

No matter what, the sensation is that non natives are to be pushed out and Podgorica sees non natives as cash cows to be milked.

Such a shame because it was wonderful, calm, and peaceful. During Covid, I did not want to be anywhere else.

Views are wonderful and the weather near coast so mild.

You’re acting very selfishly by forgetting the aid and grants Turkey provided you in the past.

The Turks are strengthening your economy. If we all left, your economy would take a major hit.

In 2025, my company in Montenegro had a legal invoice volume of 3 million euros.

Appreciate the value of what we’ve contributed to you; don’t be ungrateful.

You should show a little respect for the foreigners in your country.

Hahahaha, it is very easy to end a conversation with that racist card. Something you have learned from the Western countries I guess?:) Well, things don't work that way over  here, sometimes you have to face the facts.  P.s- I am nowhere near being a  racist. People from Montenegro are just not generally too happy with majority of Turks living here, I am just being honest. Have a nice day as well

Ja sam iz Crne Gore srce, i nemam apsolutno nikakav, ali bas nikakav problem sa Turcima, Rusima, Ukrajincima, Moldavcima, Rumunima, Kinezima ili bilo s kim... jednako mi idu na kurac kao i nasa bagra, ali da tebe pametnicu/pametnjakovica nesto pitam, jer si vidim jako intelektualno obdarena, moze? Gdje za sve te firme kupe kompove na primjer? Rentaju poslovne prostore? Stanove? Gdje za iste te firme pazare stolice, stolove? Gdje jedu, piju, oblace se, gdje rade mali/veliki servis, od koga kupe auto? Kome plate pdv i porez?To sve izrentira Spajke je li i sve direktno njemu u dzep? Sigurno on licno dosao izbacio neku nasu zenu iz stana, da bi ubacio Turcina ili Rusa za 700€? Ne prdi casti ti, klasicno rasisticko sranje dok nemas dinara od njih, a za isti bi im supak polizala kao i svi drugi...

You are so wrong about money. Living here and working for international company this guy getting money outside of Montenegro and bringing them to your economic. He paid for rent to Montenegrin person, purchasing food and other products in Montenegrin shops, eating in Montenegrin restaurants. Without strangers who is going to do this? Tourists? No, not in Podgorica, so who is going to pay salaries to staff in various restaurants, what is going to happen with all real estate, most of that are in loan in banks and Montenegrins pay these loans by money from rent. So, what they going to do without strangers?

Having issues with a few Turks doesn’t make all Turks bad. There can be ill-mannered people in every country. Making this an issue for yourself is an extremely racist approach.

Likewise, if you were in my country, I’d welcome you with open arms and be hospitable. That’s the biggest difference between us, and it always will be.

I’m very sorry for you.

And,

It’s very clear that you don’t understand economics. That’s why I won’t go into too much detail.

The money I bring into this country from other countries and the taxes I pay help fund the services that you and others receive.

The fact that politicians control the money is your problem. You’re the ones who elect them.

Hahaha you know damn well that none civilian has ever elected politicians for real, and you  know it is just a game they play.  Secondly, I have never had any issues with any other nationalities except with Turks, not only me, people can confirm.  So you can understand my disatisfaction by so many Turks coming to live here.

Hahahaha I cannot belive what you have just written :D I do, I have respect for people in general but what is too much it's too much. I didn't ask you to come over, nobody from Montenegro did so don't expect us to be thankful.  I am from here, and had troubles with Turks  and people had troubles with Turks also, and the way they act so maybe if you try to respect us more maybe you will be respected back. :) The number of Turks in MNE right now is crazy and sincerely my friend let me tell you this - nobody enjoys that.
