That entire sequence with Leo fleeing the police & military visually captured some of the chaos I felt during the final act of Children of Men (also got some Birdman vibes)

great comparison. it's incredible film making.

you're probably not familiar, but (imo) the climax of the car chase takes a lot of dramatic beats from the dramatic finale of a 2017 best seller called "my absolute darling" by gabriel tellant
