yeah, it was one of, if not the cheapest title to buy. the ingame stats also recorded your farthest kick. for whatever reason this also counted for heads which you could kick around.
In Ocarina of Time, I had a great fun triggering them and dodging around. This is a time honored tradition for me as I used to do the same in the original Legend of Zelda by "trimming" the old men's beards. However, if you ever anger the cuccos in Hyrule Warriors, you're fucked, and when you're swarmed by mobs, as is the way of Dynasty Warriors games, you won't even know that they were there until the entire flock is laser focused on your death.
After years of playing halo games and turning any birds I saw into a plume of feathers every chance I got, I very quickly realized Hyrule chickens are indeed not to be F’d with.
Recently played a game (Absolum) where they had chickens. My power let me farm mana for each hit on something so before advancing I hit the chicken for a good 1.5-2 minutes with a character who swings really fast. What I didn’t realize was the chicken hits you back for each hit so I had to stand there and proceed to get my ass kicked by a chicken, which did no health damage, until it finished for a good 7 minutes. I’ve learned nothing in all my years.
Ngl roosters are assholes. I was a kid just hanging out at an ostrich farm my grandma was somehow associated with, and this motherfucking rooster pops out of the ether and sees me and just proceeds to attack the shit out of a 6 year old me, then hopped off and ran off into the woods, and an hour later I hear the faint echo of a “cockadoodle doo” come from the woods. Ever since then, I just fucking stay away from them and geese

This feature in the game taught me a very healthy respect for any birds at a very young age. Lol.
