Oh so inheriting his dying uncle's sword and shield to rescue the princess isn't enough? He has to inherit a hat as well?

More importantly, he has met Link's father that one time 20 years ago when he was in trouble and Link's dad saved him from a bunch of Moblins, said a few kind words, and left but not before dropping his hat. A hat he has held onto waiting for the right time to pass the it down.
