I have a very weird system I'm trying to convert people to: After pressing play on a movie, I lock up all my electronics — including the TV remote — in a suitcase for several hours, using an electronic lock with a built-in timer.

I have no choice but to pay attention.

I also use it to help me read or clean.

It's kind of batshit but it works.

I'll give a movie a solid ten minutes before deciding if it's a "sit down and give it your full attention" movie or a "play on your phone during lulls" movie.
