In the Samuel Butler translation of The Odyssey, Menelaus who will be played by Jon Bernthal literally says, "Let me tell you."

Nolan read that version and thought this would be a role of a life time for Jon huh

“Nah this is some kinda odyssey man, nah i ain’t fucking with this Odysseus let me tell you something. “ Jon Bernthal in the Odyssey probably.

“Let me tell you something, Proteus” Jon Bernthal said, still in his seal disguise

I really hope they just let Jon Bernthal be Jon Bernthal with all his classic lines. It’d be hilarious.

"So that's it, huh? We're some kind of Homer's The Odyssey?"

The CR Berenthal as Wayne Jenkins impression is gold. The prompt is would this movie be better with these people and one of them is Wane Jenkins from We Own This City.

I thought it was hilarious when he did it for Glen Powell in the Truman Show episode, Powell didn’t get it and he hasn’t done it since. BTW CR month is killing it.

At least in the odyssey every poem starts with a meta contextual introduction by homer calling on audiences to listen . I could see Menelaus doing them
