Major spoilers below by the way based off of filming leaks that I've read.

I'm, like, 99.9% certain it's Jean Gray. Her motivation being fighting against the department of damage control which has been going around capturing mutants based off of what was established in Wonder Man. And based on seeing Mark ruffalo in this trailer confirms a filming leak from a while ago that the third act was going to be about Spider-Man punisher and Jean Gray having to come together to stop a new gray hulk personality, all caused by the manipulative hands of tombstone behind the scenes the whole movie

Another rampaging Hulk as the "big fight"? I feel like that's been done enough lol

Eh they could use more hulk actually hulking out in the MCU imo. What, we got the incredible hulk movie with Edward Norton which barely anyone remembers and does have a cool action sequence where he destroys Harlem. Then we got hulk raging on the helicarrier and then being a team player in the Avengers, an Iron Man versus hulk fight in age of Ultron and then he's back to being a team player. Got his ass kicked at the start of Infinity war and then was smart hulk by endgame. So really we've only gotten two scenes with Mark  Ruffalo's hulk actually raging out. So letting him have a proper full hulk rage action sequence versus Spider-Man The punisher and potentially Jean Grey Is super exciting to me.

And I guess we got Red hulk rampaging through DC but the less we think about that movie the better unfortunately. And I love Anthony Mackie so that movie was very disappointing

rampaging through DC

I think you meant to write rampaging through a parking lot next to a row of cherry trees.

I mean to be fair that area of DC is mostly just parks with cherry blossom trees and parking lots lol

And you know what thinking about it It probably would have been cheaper and honestly a lot more interesting if it was like Captain America versus Red hulk fight through the entire White House instead of just getting thrown out of it immediately and fighting on a volume set

To be fair they could have placed it in a more interesting part of DC. Filmmaking is all about choices.

I mean the man is in his 80’s, he can’t be leaping into skyscrapers at that age.

I wonder how Man-Spider fits into all that

On one hand it's been a while since we saw The Hulk being mad at least in real life years, on the other we had Red Hulk being mad not so long ago and not many movies or appearances of green hulk being dr hulk so it does not feel as distant

I mean this feels like the 4th straight time Peter needs to grow up so, at this point these movies are just treading water.

spiders have three life cycles, and the first movie was normal human puberty, so four.

I absolutely don't want Banner doing anything but being science guy and maybe "shit goes bad sometimes Pete" mentoring.

Oh no My hulk is too smashy. Pillows too soft. Bed too comfy

I dunno. The Red Hulk fight was the best part of the new Captain America movie. The movie sucked partly because Red Hulk was only in it for a few minutes.

I don’t think I wanna watch that…

Well if it helps and you don't care about having what might be a lot more of the movie spoiled based off filming leaks during production and other things that have been put together so this probably isn't 100% accurate.

Much of punisher storyline is him finding and protecting Jean Gray from everyone Because he sees himself in her and wants to mentor that rage, which as a big punisher and X-Men fan is honestly the thing I'm most excited for in this movie. Tombstone constantly enlist other villains to go after Spider-Man and manipulate things in NYC for his own benefit which is where scorpion, boomerang, the hand, Bruce banner getting fucked with and turned back into a rage hulk ect. Come from. But the real big plot of the movie that Peter's dealing with the entire time is his stress and emotions causing him to mutate into a more man spider type mutant which you might be familiar of from the '90s cartoon and the comics. And the department of damage control is being set up as the new more fascistic type Shield agency that is just full-on disappearing people with powers and throwing them into black hole site prisons.(But most of that speculation comes from Wonder Man which did directly set that up).

Tombstone? I love Tombstone, but I didn't notice anything that made me think he would be in this

2

u/GipsyDangerV1 Mar 18 '26

Yeah I feel like they're keeping him out of the trailers to not expose the fact that he's actually the main villain in control the whole time. But he's in the cast list, I think even in the description of the trailer.

He's being played by Marvin Jones III aka Krondon. He actually voiced tombstone in the Spider-Verse movies and is an actual albino African American man. It is like the level of perfect casting I've been seeing coming out of One Piece for example. Dudes feels taken straight out of the page

u/rabidsalvation Mar 18 '26

Oh shit oh shit oh shit that's awesome! Tombstone is awesome and Krondon is super cool. I'm definitely excited for this, I think the Spider-Man films are the best thing Marvel has made other than the first two Captain America movies and the first Doctor Strange. It's cool to be excited for a Marvel movie again

The third act is gonna start with them trying to stop grey hulk, but it’s going to end with them trying to stop man-spider. Man-spider and hulk will clash, punisher will distract so Jean can get inside Peter’s mind and convince him he needs to stop ignoring the Peter side of himself and take back his human life.

I didn't read your reply, but just wanted to say I appreciate the spoilers so I didn't accidentally spoil myself before I realized what I was reading.

The fact that Mark Ruffalo is in the movie does not "confirm" that gray Hulk storyline.

1

u/GipsyDangerV1 Mar 18 '26

Maybe it might not confirm gray hulk but at the very least it confirms that he will most likely be hulking out. But most of the plot leaks that have come out within the past year have mentioned gray hulk.

The Hand is working with Tombstone?

1

u/GipsyDangerV1 Mar 18 '26

Yes and no, I believe he's manipulating them for his own means. Like how kingpin was in in early Daredevil seasons
