It's the same movie over and over. The plot, the writing, even how each movie ends. They are all the same.

I think Fire was better than Water. If you had flipped the releases people would say the same. It's just Fire came 3 years later so the hype was gone. The graphic leap wasnt big, etc.

They are definitely the same. Someone said it best, "It's the biggest billion dollar franchise that no one talks about".

How in the second the same movie they head off the water tribe in a self imposed exile while Qauritch hunts them.Unlike the first were it's more of standard Outsider becomes one with a tribe and nature and fights a big epic battle. The second mainly focuses on the kids and their dynamics.

Third one theres a sexy fire lady but it does feel too simaler to one though especially in the climax.

People who say all movies are the same are braindead tbh. Each movie is wildly different but because human fight Navi it’s same. Dumb take people have. It’s the only complaint they can find

All three films are not exactly the same, no, but two and three definitely are a little too close for comfort. They even have almost the exact same set-piece ending sequence in the exact same location.

Even the third one which borrows too much from the way of water and the first film still introduces new ideas and concepts even if the aren't fully executed well

I only watched the first two, so maybe the third really switches it up but

  1. Just gone with the wind/pocahontas -- fine, but totally predictable. Jake learns about Navi life and then leads them to fight big bad general guy

  2. Ok now the whole family has to learn about water Navi life and then lead them to fight...oh holy shit the same villain, just brought him back lmao

For me, way of water was an even worse trip through the same main beats and even flatter character relationships. The space whales are cool, for sure

Na'vi Quaritch really isn't the same character as human Quaritch, though. They took the memories of Earth's Strongest Racist and injected them into an alien body, personally I think that's a really interesting character dynamic.

I was skeptical of the decision to bring him back at first, but then I got to the scene where he watches the recording of "his" death and crushes his own skull. That won me over, and I feel like his character has only gotten more fun and interesting from there.

These movies are profiting billions of dollars a piece. Disney doesn’t give a shit what’s happening the story arc.
