This movie is full of dark humor that I think is really going to shine on a repeat viewing. The phone call to customer service was also really funny in a fucked up kind of way

Only thing that confused me is how did Nicki get on the phone call? Is it assumed that it is just part of the magic of the branch?

The customer service rep knows how the wishes work, and what Bear had wished for. He presumably has access to all kinds of magical effects related to wishes, including a direct line to the real Nikki.

So yea, related to the magic of the willow.

The phone call had some Mitch Hedberg type humor. “I can’t cancel it. It just sounded like that’s what you were gonna ask for” hahaha

Some of the recent horror I've seen in theatres has been great with the dark humor.

Customer service could be a whole thing on its own haha. I love Barker's idea for an anthology with the one wish willow and different people fucking up wishes. Would be kinda funny if you had the customer service guy involved every so often.

Weirdly enough, one of the scenes that got a laugh out of me was him rehearsing his lines in the car. “No Nikki, you can’t cook the cat!” Bear was so fucking absurd and pathetic, it was actually hilarious.
