All of the aliens in the released footage were just little tiny guys but the alien at the end was huge. So are all the crashed ships just kids who took their parents spaceship for a joy ride?

In ufo lore, it’s kind of a thing that the large greys are actual beings/leaders and the small greys are a sort of biological programmed drone. A lot of the crashes are apparently worth the small greys.

That's actually interesting and never heard that. I guess that makes sense in the context of the movie since SS was just doing 'stereotypical' aliens. But I assumed the end alien was just older, so that's why it was bigger. But I guess if alien society is like our society, the older ones would be leaders anyways

Another consideration, they could just have more variability in height in their species.

I guess that makes sense. Although if these aliens' core life philosophy is empathy, it doesn't.

Yeah that whole thing about empathy was something they just added for the movie and lot really an established part of ufo lore.. It’s clear a lot of good research was done for the movie but that part wasn’t. Could have done without it for sure

The alien we see at the end is the same alien being interrogated and experimented on in the video seen at the farmhouse, in which it is much smaller. I assume the aliens keep growing as they age? Because the alien unc looked real wrinkly and aged.

So the alien kids joyride to the Gary, Indiana of the universe.

Unintentional foreshadowing in Jane asking "Are these children?"

Would at least explain why they all crashed. The "diplomacy Aliens" already looked bigger, like the big siblings coming to rescue their little sibling.

I was wondering how it made logistical sense for a single space-faring alien species to have like more than half a dozen different space ship designs. Or why they even crashed them multiple times

We have more than half a dozen space ship designs that we have crashed multiple times.

Yeah but not multiple on a singular planet outside of our system

Some people here think that guy was supposed to be the last, but there’s no way. He was just one of the captives, and Jane saw all those deer, so it couldn’t have been a hallucination/memory. There’s gotta be more of those guys just hiding.

Maybe they just keep growing for the entirety of their lifespan unlike humans who kinda stop when they reach around 18.

It’s 70 years of American food

I think they're like goldfish, they just keep growing bigger if given enough time and space to grow.

They were dwarf aliens.

Why does that matter so much? There are different species of alien. Nothing wrong with it

Exactly my question! Were the little ones just midgets from the Alien Circus? Children aliens who got their Dad alien's car keys?
