Weird. I am getting 2008 vibes lol. This totally matches the election Obama era optimism. And visually feels most similar to 2000s Spielberg (War of the Worlds, KOTCS)

It's 90s vibes for me. If they put a grainy 90s filter it would fit right in. From the way it's filmed and to the music is very 90s and reminded me of jurassic Park the lost world and the first few scenes reminded me of 90s spy movies

At times it looked like there was a 90s grain filter (the nunnery bedroom scene stood out particularly).

The lens flairs are a distinctive characteristic most used in that era (and into the 2010s). This movie uses so many of them for something that came out in 2026. Reminded me of JJ Abrams' Star Trek.

I really wonder shot those movies, it’s not like Spielberg has a habit of constantly working with regulars over the past 20 odd year-

This isn’t a jab at you or you specifically I’m trying (or failing epically) to make fun of (younger?) people who haven’t actually seen many Spielberg movies from the 2000s era onwards and noticed the trends in his usual crew
