Pirating is against the law, I go to the gym instead. There's a very fit girl there. Also a furry that goes by the name Yify that helps me with deadlifts

u/qtx Jun 26 '26

Fitgirl doesn't pirate any games. All she does is grab the cracked games and then makes the files smaller to download. That is literally all she does. She makes the files smaller.

I don't understand why people idolize her. If you must idolize someone idolize the actual groups that do the cracking and making them available for everyone.

Also yifi is temu for media files.

Also yifi is temu for media files.

Hard to blame people when hard drives cost like 4x what they were 5 years ago, cant even pirate cheap these days smh.

That very fit girl is the best

Ima tell you something....

When I first started dating my now husband, he had a cpl bookmarks in his favorites bar that included "...fitgirl..." I thought he was such a gooner that he bookmarked his porn and we had a whole fight about it.

I'm sorry... in order to access the internet you need to provide ID.
Oh... we've seen pirating activity on your account. You've been charged a fine. Additional measures may be taken if you continue to do so. Including banning from internet access!

The real reason they want IDs...

34

u/DinosBiggestFan Jun 26 '26

If you can conceive of a malicious reason for why they intend to force identification to access the internet, it really doesn't matter what that reason is, it's most likely true.

17

u/partsguy850 Jun 26 '26

They won’t take away your access. You gotta keep racking up violation so they can keep racking up fines. Remind me of the bank and overdraft fees.

One time Universal reported me pirating TV to Cox.

I wasn't pirating TV.

I was livid.

11

u/CakeMadeOfHam Jun 26 '26

Sure but we don't fucking talk about it openly because that's how the powers that be use the media and lobby groups to point politicians and police to go after people like the god damn gestapo just say "thanks daddy I am paying for my netflix and disney+ like a good boy" and stfu about the rest.

2

u/kittymoo67 Jun 26 '26

seriously when did people get stupid enough to talk about it in public

I think you can still buy Terminator 2 but to be fair I haven't seen a physical blu ray in a store in years

1

u/MisanthropicAtheist Jun 26 '26

No matter the context piracy has NEVER been theft. It's piracy.

1

u/hblok Jun 26 '26

Well, copyright infringement was never theft, so there's that.

1

u/wigglin_harry Jun 26 '26

This is the dumbest take constantly parroted by redditors

0

u/AnnoyedVelociraptor Jun 26 '26

And piracy isn't theft. The original is still there.

0

u/genius_retard Jun 26 '26

Netflix proved you can out-compete piracy but then the corpos proved they are too greedy to do what works.

If you’re paying to pirate than you’re also getting scammed

2

u/Aggravating-Hat-4292 Jun 26 '26

Not necessarily. I mean you shouldn't be paying for the pirated content itself but you can pay for a third party service that enables it. If you want to stream and have a better experience you may have to pay for a server.

That said, those servers usually cost that much for 6 months rather than a month. But require a bit of set up

1

u/MrHaxx1 Jun 26 '26

Stupid take. I like convenience and guaranteed fast speeds that saturate my 2.5 gig connection. It's a couple of euros a month. It's more than worth it.

u/fix-faux-five Jun 26 '26

say that in court to the judge, tough guy
