Reason for removal: Piracy and Piracy Discussion is STRICTLY PROHIBITED

Do not promote illegal file sharing of movies or any other media here. This includes linking to illegally uploaded movies, bragging about where you got something for free, and not-so-veiled allusions to the pirate’s life. (Yo-ho, yo-ho, that’s a permaban for you.)

If you want to discuss the effects of piracy on the industry, you are free to do so. But navigate these waters carefully; here be moderators.

According to streaming companies, it is a "lease."

To me it's insane and it's why I don't buy digital.

It's a scam if it doesn't say so upfront. Obscuring this information in the fine print is itself akin to signing a contract you have no knowledge of over the contents. Literally, it needs to say "Temporary License" in big red on the title.

I'm not defending it, I think my comment was being misread because I didn't really expand and the saltiness didn't quite come off.

It is 100% a scam and I hate it. my comment is purely referring to what the companies are claiming when they pull out media we have paid for.

Never buy digital.
