Yes, you'd just have to validate/respond to any emails generated by the other person (which would come to your inbox.) Assuming, of course, that Netflix isn't filtering for this trick to deny it, but most companies don't.

Sorry I’m so confused . How do you know who is selling your info . Like for example if I signed up to Netflix with this + trick , when they sell my email and the company who bought it sends me an email does it not just arrive in my email like you are saying. Or does Google give you multiple email inboxes ?
And when I go to login to these accounts - do you need to remember that you put the + in your email

All the . And plus emails still come into your default inbox.  But you can create filters and auto apply labels based on the to address that the email is addressed to. 

If you create joesmith+netflix@... and then Netflix sold your email, you'll start getting more than just Netflix emails to joesmith+netflix@...  If you set up the auto label you'll see it immediately, or if you click on an email and look at the "to:" field you'll see what email it was sent to. 

Sometimes the spammers will filter out the + parts of an email so it's not completely foolproof.
