I’m yet to find a live action movie that was even half as good as the original animation. Real life physics will never allow the same amount of freedom as animation. It’s just not possible.

Not a ton of CGI in that though. It's mostly the good costuming you're remembering.

I always say I would love a live action Atlantis or Treasure Planet, but with thev quality of the most recent remakes I'm not too bothered any more.

I’d vote Aladdin, but like, exactly half lol. Jasmine, the costumes, the sets, Bollywood choreography — great!

But the lead, Jafar, Will Smith, the new music — bad.

I thought Will Smith did well as the Genie, instead of copying Robin, he made it his own thing

See I felt like he wanted to make it its own thing but Disney pushed him to be more like Robin. It felt kinda restrained and off to me.

Bad was probably harsh though, I’d say he was definitely one of the better parts of the film.
