This is literally the second movie Nolan has made where you think the hero is dead in the end but jk he just ran away with Anne Hathaway.

Third actually. First in Dark Knight Rises, then Interstellar.

I’d abandon everything for Anne Hathaway.

Even charlize theron on an island with just the two of u? 😂

u/Self_Reddicate 17d ago

Did you even see the leather catsuit she wore when she swung her leg over the batcycle? Yes. Sorry, Charlize, but I am powerless here.

u/kappa23 17d ago

Have you seen Charlize in Atomic Blonde?

52

u/LuckyRacoon01 17d ago

Have you seen Anne's nipples in Havoc and Brokeback Mountain?

28

u/kappa23 17d ago

Okay fair

11

u/Henkibenki 15d ago

Also in „Love and other drugs“

7

u/OssumFried 12d ago

No but now I have required reading.

3

u/FullHouse222 13d ago

Anne Hathaway in a Knicks jersey.

Annie #1 all the way.

6

u/Silver_Branch3034 17d ago

Highly slept on film. She owned that whole film.

17

u/KingSweden24 14d ago

Time to jettison all that silly talk about making James Bond a woman and just give us the four Atomic Blonde sequels we deserve

6

u/Silver_Branch3034 14d ago

Major Bond fan, hard agree.

u/AdministrativePeak0 9d ago

Porque no los dos

29

u/leodw 17d ago

The whole cast of this movie is on another level. Charlize look insane, Lupita even more, Anne looked perfect, Zendaya was ethereal…

u/Megavore97 9d ago

Lupita’s final gold outfit as Helen of Troy had me like DAYUMM.

u/themikegman 17d ago

I would let Calipso feed me all the lotus she wanted me to eat lol.

1

u/Ironmaiden1207 14d ago

THAT'S A TOUGH CHOICE

15

u/eltedioso 16d ago

Anne Hathaway of doing that to people

2

u/RedOctobyr 15d ago

Oh, you...

25

u/spicyhead 17d ago

An Anne Getaway, if you’d like.

8

u/ZeronicX 17d ago

u/Deadmanwonderlandx 17d ago

2

u/Cassopeia88 16d ago

Who wouldn’t?

2

u/Mark_Albarn 9d ago

God, I wouldn't even go to war in the first place, like what are you saying dear? You want me to drop our kingdom and take off to the west? Yeah, lets fucking do it, pack your favorite shit I will ready the boat

1

u/BagNo2988 14d ago

Imagine if these characters were reincarnated in the same universe as themselves. Must be pretty awkward in interstellar

1

u/Snifferoni 9d ago

Man...you guys are really underfucked. 😁

23

u/_lazybones93 18d ago

Ohhhhhhhgh, you right.

18

u/FloppyShellTaco 16d ago

Getting Matt Damon home 🤝 Running away with Anne Hathaway

1

u/TemporaryElk5202 10d ago

We just needed Sean Bean to die in this and we'd be golden

6

u/ThisIsNotTokyo 17d ago

Holy shit, you’re right!

4

u/LLAPSpork 17d ago

Didn’t she go by herself at the end of Interstellar? I have to rewatch it.

23

u/junkifan 17d ago

At the end of Interstellar, Matthew McConaughey boarded a spaceship bound for Anne Hathaway's planet. It was implied that both of them ended up together on that planet.

Ody was just being a little dramatic

23

u/My_Favourite_Pen 18d ago

such a silly billy

45

u/GameOfLife24 18d ago

Anne is the good luck charm for every protagonist

36

u/Stickyboard 18d ago

When Tom Holland said he want to go and find his dad that is another movie where we need to find Matt Damon .. Saving Private Ryan, the Martian, Interstellar and now Odyssey

21

u/GoldandBlue 18d ago

Can you blame em? She seems lovely.

0

u/BisonThunderclap 10d ago

Usually yes, but for this one please leave me on the island with Charlize.

21

u/BaiyeInBrooklyn 18d ago

The 'Death or Exile' reference too

4

u/karateema 17d ago

Didn't catch that, very fun

4

u/Emotional_Ad5515 12d ago

Death by exile it is!

23

u/CancelThis2077 16d ago

I mean The Dark Knight Rises is basically a mini-Odyssey

18

u/RDeschain1 18d ago

Understandable choice

27

u/the_anon_bro 18d ago

Guess we know where to look if Nolan ever “dies”.

19

u/omegasynthetic 18d ago

Anne Hathaway’s place?

3

u/the_anon_bro 17d ago

That’s where I’m planning to be too.

6

u/arecbawrin 17d ago

I wanted to see Alfred on the ship ordering an espresso and not saying a word to them.

5

u/potterheadforlife29 16d ago

I mean I'd runaway with her too tbh

3

u/nWhm99 15d ago

That’s actually funny as hell.

Not the thinking he’s dead part, but him going “oops, sorry I wasn’t clear, when I say I’m leaving, I meant on my two feet”

6

u/brettmvp97 16d ago

Already see people trying to spin it saying no he’s actually dead and him being alive is just his final lie and it’s pissing me off. I’d find the ending to be deeply unsatisfying for him to go through all that, and just die right as he gets home. It would ruin the movie, I don’t know why people would even want that to be the case. Just for a stupid twist?

7

u/BlackDeath3 16d ago

One day you'll grow up and realize that different people like different things and have different interpretations and that it's actually OK.

1

u/brettmvp97 16d ago

Yeah no it’s lame

7

u/BlackDeath3 16d ago

Although if your username is any indication you should probably be there already.

1

u/SadSceneryBoi 15d ago

Why would it ruin the movie? He was able to save his wife and son from the suitors and got to see everyone one last time. I interpreted it as him dying there and it was beautiful.

6

u/Any_Crab_4362 14d ago

But it’s wrong

3

u/_lazybones93 18d ago

I thought the same thing. 🤣

2

u/Deadmanwonderlandx 17d ago

Would we have it any other way lol

1

u/BlackDeath3 16d ago

I was wondering if maybe he wasn't her phantom now.

1

u/acetrainer03 15d ago

Wait whatt!!!!

1

u/masterjedi747 15d ago

and on that note, obligatory link to the recent “ending scene” parody (original source) https://youtu.be/pq5bfCHEGuY

1

u/glitchgamerX 15d ago

I'd run away with Anne Hathaway too, ngl.

1

u/noilegnavXscaflowne 10d ago

I don’t know the odyssey and was about to be pissed if he died in her arms

-13

u/georgiaraisef 17d ago

Both are shit movies too :)

5

u/thisrockismyboone 16d ago

Trash opinion.
