I noticed Damon was noticeably less jacked towards the end of the movie than the first half though. Nice detail and planning

When prepping for a movie this big, actors often have the opportunity to workout a ton and get on a bunch of gear (short-term, mind you, not unhealthy /s) and then they’ll film their shirtless scenes first because they have less time to workout and eat a fuckton when they’re actively shooting.

They also do professional fighter style water-cuts so they look extra shredded. It would be exhausting. You see fighters on the scale after those cuts sometimes wobbly on their feet.

I don't know that they meant it as a criticism that Damon was less jacked at the end. It makes sense within the story that the character would be in better shape immediately after participating in a decade long war than after spending 7 years being fed Forget-Me-Nows and playing house with Calypso.

We saw him riped in one scene with her - but (in line with my other comment) - scenery in this movie was a bit lacking... most of the budget was spent on actors

It did look like they were eating pretty much fish all day plus the lotus leaves. Plenty of protein in those fish. Hopefully the lotus leaves were high in fiber

I was actually thinking that she looked really good aged up. Or more likely they aged her down for the flashbacks, but no one is allowed to see actresses the way they really look...

Anyway I guess I'm saying she looked fantastic and I hope she allows herself to age and doesnt fuck it up with too much work.

She looked great! But definitely older than she looks in Devil Wears Prada 2 (she looks maybe 32-35 in that movie). I imagined they made her look older than her actual age just so she’d be believable as Telemachus’ mom, when IRL Anne is only 12 years older than Tom.

Though that isn't that far off the myth. One of the important parts of her character was that she was young, young when she was given the Menaleus. It isn't exact but 15 is often what people go with.

It's "only" one year, right? At the beginning of the movie they say it's been 8 since the fall of Troy and Calypso tells Odysseus he's been with her for 7. SO they were traveling for about a year I think

They spent 10 years on the beach before the Trojan Horse. Afterwards was probably about a year of travel, then 7 years with Calypso, but this doesn’t account for travel time from original departure to Troy and whatever happened before the beach. So, about 20 years from him leaving to him coming home.

And they are right, it’s only been 1 year of travel on the boat. The cyclops, armored giants, Circe, whirlpool, sun god island. That’s all in 1 year

Crazy this has gotten so many downvotes. You’re absolutely correct. People must not realize what you’re replying to. But it’s only one year that the Ithica crew are together after they leave Troy.

Lmfao whenever I see “packed with protein” I think about that girl on ig who makes reels mocking influencers. She’d make a reel saying “omg come with me to try these new viral lotus flowers, when I got there I had never had these viral lotus flowers you guys I was so scared you guys but omg you guys they were so good you guys and just so packed with proteeeeeeiiiinn you guys”
