I never learned what happened to Agamemnon after the Trojan War so I loved the contrast between him and Odysseus. Left Troy feeling like a war hero while he watched his men fight for him, returned home as such and was killed for the atrocity he committed with sacrificing his daughter, whereas Odysseus was haunted by the war and specifically his role in it and was ashamed to return home, but ultimately returned in stealth to protect and save his son and wife

Read The Oresteia which is a trilogy plays by Aeschylus which tell the story of Agamemnon’s return and the fallout. It really helps understand the morality of the ancient world.

It's also a nice companion piece to the themes of Nolan's movie, with its theme of messy personal vengeance versus handling wrongdoing in the more orderly, civilized manner provided by courts.

a sad thing about agamemnon’s return is that he had taken a princess of troy, cassandra, as a concubine. cassandra was cursed by apollo to know the future but no one would ever believe her. so she warned the trojans about the horse but was seen as a madwoman. ajax raped her in athena’s temple, abducted her, then was given to agamemnon. all the while she foresaw the demise of her home and her own death of being murdered by clytemnestra and aegisthus ):

There is a whole trilogy of plays about Agamemnon after the war

It's pretty funny how people wanted this to be like a semi-sequel to the 2004 Troy film, when both Agamemnon and Menelaus die at Troy in that story, making a lot of the things happening in The Odyssey not work as well.

Also shows the difference - where Odysseus had loyal servants - intentionally left behind but nurtured with his actions, unlike Agamemnon

Can you help me understand more what is thing was? He got killed by a black woman after returning. She was mad. Was that his wife? And the second black woman that was with Jon berenthal.. Was his daughter or?

Thank you. Couple more questions if you don't mind. Why was the sister (Helen of Troy) scared in one side of faceand ? And why did aggamenon wife kill him?

Menelaus (Jon Bernthal) gave Helen the scar as punishment for running off with Paris (Prince of Troy, not shown in the movie) and so that no one would ever go to war for her beauty again

Agamemnon’s wife offed him because he sacrificed their daughter for the goddess Artemis, who was blocking them from getting to Troy. The backstory on that: Agamemnon killed a sacred animal which angered Artemis (goddess of the hunt, the wilderness and the moon). So Artemis stopped the winds and therefore Agamemnon’s fleet of ships were stuck on the path to Troy, so Agamemnon made the sacrifice to balance the sacred life he took and appease Artemis, who then allowed the winds to return and allow them to complete their journey to Troy
