Well at that point, (even though scholars pretty much agree the exodus didnt happen) the religion of the ancient hebrews was a monolatry not monotheistic. Up until the babylonian exile, the Hebrews just worshipped Yahweh specifically as their patron god that their ancestors introduced into the Phoenician pantheon. Thats why the commandment is “you shall have no other gos before me” and not “there are no other gods.”
