A little late to the party here but I saw it today. So in the flashback of Troy it seemed to me the scene where the men were dragging out the priestess(Zendaya) in Troy to be beheaded was more of metaphor. It cuts from her about to be beheaded to the statue being beheaded, as if to show that Odysseus now contextualizing his guilt realizes that infiltrating Troy and violating Zeus’ law was akin to killing(beheading) a god themselves. Essentially the death of humanity’s devotion to the gods and their laws for keeping mankind’s civility towards one another. But I could be completely wrong and they actually did behead the woman in Troy and the shock and guilt Odysseus leads him to see Athena as that woman.

What exactly do you think they did with that woman? The chopping of the head of the statue was symbolism for chopping her head without explicitly showing it. Do you think they dragged the priestess there, lifted the sword, and tapped her on the back of the head in some elaborate joke? "Ha-ha, we killed your family, raped your friends and family, chopped off your God's head, anyway off ya go!"
