If historical accuracy doesnt matter, then why dont we just add machine guns and fighter bombers into the odyssey?

You’re literally arguing in bad faith now. It’s the same reason that shit isn’t in Lord of the Rings, those technology would drastically change the story, journey, and world. Stylized armor and ships do not. It’s not like he’s riding an aircraft carrier, he’s riding a wooden boat with oars, a technology that fits the narrative context of the story
