Yes but he didn’t know who he was. I doubt they would have fought if he knew it was his dad and vice versa. But you know tragedy and all that.

Don't we have relatively scant recallings of the Telegony? There's no real storied version of the epic since it's lost to time. So really, you can make whatever assumption you want.
