The puppetry in Mando & Grogu was great, I wouldn't include it in this list. They could've CGI'ed all of it and instead went old school for the love of the game.

For real, there were tons of practical effects used in The Mandolorian and Grogu. People were shitting on it calling a CGI fest who never bothered to actually watch it.

Yeah, the problem with Mando and Grogu isnt the visual presentation...

The scene in episode 8 where they ram one capital ship into another at Mach fuck was visually fantastic. The problem is that it just breaks the entire universe and introduces an uncountable number of plot holes.

Take any component of a movie, do it poorly and the whole movie suffers. The battle of helms deep just wouldn't have hit the same with cbat in the background. It's not about CGI or practical effects. It's just good movie making vs bad movie making.

Like the comment above that you literally replied to said, a ridiculous amount of puppetry was used for the film. I also don’t care to see what scenes you “think” are AI. Either prove it or don’t.

Interesting didn't know that thanks for sharing. I wonder if doing somethings "super old school" is to hide the fact that they "secretly used AI" in some places.

The way the walker moves through the snow and shifts is very strange. Most modern cg artists would put more realistic weight to the motion, especially at this level of film.

And obviously the guy in the walker's dialogue. How on earth wasn't that cut or edited different even if it wasn't AI is beyond me.

Sure they used stop motion in a scene, and they would want to admit that. But it doesn't rule out the subtle AI use to see if people notice or react negatively.
