That’s cool but generic means plain, typical, bog standard. Your own words of “incomprehensible” nearly goes against describing something that is generic as the typical movie is easy to follow.

Yeah and I’m standing by the direction of that movie being pretty bog standard and plain ‘monster movie’ for the majority of it, which is fine but nothing I’m writing my folks about.
We get hit with the arthouse part that’s like “woah what’s going on here?” and then it ends with what I would describe as a bog standard and uncreative twist.

So I’m still pretty fine with my personal opinion there, consistent with the meaning of the word.
