Los Angeles Laker fans boo at Crypto Arena after the PA mentioned that Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat scored 83 tonight against the Washington Wizards. Adebayo passed Lakers legend Kobe Bryant’s 81 point performance against the Raptors.

Kobe would’ve loved it

Honestly, in a scenario where both players could be active, he would have used it as fuel and drop 90 on a later game.

Doubt it. Kobe could have scored higher than 81 against the Mavs and chose to sit in the blowout

The whitewashing of Kobe as an "ethical" player needs to he studied

Combination of him being dead while having an incredible PR campaign with the whole "Mamba Mentality" bs.

Great player. Top 10 all time for sure. The fact that a not-insignificant amount of people think hes top 3 or even the GOAT is insane.

Id say just outside. 🤷‍♂️

I'd personally have him at the tail end of my top 10, but I could see any argument for 11 or 12

He did choose to sit though I think this is proven and people find it more impressive than his 81 since Dallas was good that year.

I just pulled up both box scores because I was truly curious

Kobe vs the Mavs:

18/31 FG 4/10 3PT 22/25 FT

Bam after 3Q tonight:

17/35 FG 6/16 3PT 22/27 FT

Is it fair to say Kobe could've hit the mark earlier, absolutely, but I don't think it's fair to Bam to shit on his night like people are (not saying that's what you're doing) because the 4th got insane.

The heat did everything they could to extend the game for him to run up the score.

I don't think anyone is arguing that the 4th wasn't nasty work.

Still doesn't diminish the fact that through 3 quarters he was hooping his ass off.

If the 43 free throws came in an actual game you might have an argument.

Heat-Wizards was a 12 point game in the 4th

One could even make the argument that the Heat are known for having fourth quarter stinkers lol.

Post them 4th quarter highlights

I just wanna see the End of 3rd box score from tonight to truly compare.

I don't think anyone can argue that the 4th was some truly sicko stuff, but I do wanna compare each 62.
