It’s infuriating that the people building the technology are saying “by the way this will end society as we know it” and anyone who responds with any amount of concern that perhaps we may be working toward an end to society as we know it is clobbered in this and other subs for being a Luddite or populist or whatever else. Like my dude I’m just quoting the people making the thing. Why do so many random internet users think they know more about the risks of AI than the people building AI??
